It is recommended that an Archdiocesan construction contract be used. The Archdiocese needs to approve and sign any contract if the value is above $25,000 or if the project requires a permit or architect/engineer or if it involves any hazardous materials or changes in the worship space.

Parishes can sign the Archdiocesan contracts on projects not needing archdiocesan approval. The Property and Construction office does ask however, that you send us a copy of any signed contracts. The Parish should never sign a contractor’s proposal but use it as an attachment to the contract.
