Direct access to sacramental registers is not permitted - copies only.

Sacramental records created before January 1, 1938 are available for genealogical and other research provided the subjects of the inquiry are deceased. See our Sacramental Records Policy for more information.

Otherwise records are released only to the following:

Individuals who received the sacrament
Requesting church institutions
Parents of minor children in question

If your sacrament was received after 1950

If your sacrament was received after 1950, it’s likely that the record of that sacrament is still held by the parish not by the Archives. Please consult the Parish Finder for appropriate parish contact information.

If the sacrament was received in Central or Eastern Washington

If the sacrament was received in Central or Eastern Washington, email cjundt@yakimadiocese.org at the Diocese of Yakima or the Archives of the Diocese of Spokane.

If the sacrament was received on a military base or in a military chapel

If the sacrament was received on a military base or in a military chapel, please contact the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA.
