Mission Cooperation Plan
Mission Cooperation Plan enables missionary sending religious
orders, religious organizations and mission dioceses to visit
our parishes to foster awareness of, and commitment to, the
missionary work of the Church, and to secure financial support
for their work. Visits are made in about two-thirds of our parishes
each summer.

Mission Cooperation Plan Application Each summer in this archdiocese, as is done in most dioceses throughout the country, many of our parishes welcome missioners who speak at weekend liturgies about the work of the Church in mission areas. (The process of selecting and matching mission dioceses, organizations and Orders with parishes is known as the Mission Cooperation Plan.)

Applications need to be received by December 31 for consideration for assignments in the following summer months.

World Mission Sunday Collection
Annually, World Mission Sunday is celebrated in every parish in the world on the
next-to-last Sunday in October. As described by Pope John Paul II, this celebration
is "an important day in the life of the Church because it teaches how to give: as
an offering made to God, in the Eucharistic celebration and for all the missions
of the world."
