Volunteers for Senior Priests
Volunteer Opportunity
You can make a difference in the life of a senior priest! Some of them would appreciate a visit and/or need assistance to live
independently.
Your willingness to volunteer in this capacity is greatly appreciated and is a great opportunity to thank our
senior priests for their service in a meanignful way.
Most requests are for assistance with driving to appointments, shopping, light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, and yard work.

Exploration and Registration
To be eligible to assist a senior priest all volunteers must eventually:
- Complete a Volunteer Worker Agreement
- Complete a Volunteer Driver Form if driving is required
- Complete the Safe Environment Program Cerification. If you are not already certified the Office of Vicar for Clergy will arrange for compliance.
You may download these forms to your computer and complete them at your leisure.
In the meantime explore the tasks offered and register your name if you would like to help.
Volunteers can come from all age groups: families and couples may volunteer together as well as students and retirees volunteering
independently. Youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Group projects are welcome and encouraged. This could be a youth group, community group or corporate team offering assistance in
painting, home clean-up, minor home repair, moving or yard work. Contact the Office of the Vicar for Clergy to find out how
your group can get involved
