Stewardship of Talent
Making a Difference by Sharing Our Talents
Our personal commitment to give of ourselves through service in our parishes provides a strong and unique connection to God through our community of faith.
The US Bishops Pastoral Letter on Stewardship calls us to generously support our parishes through personal service in parish ministries. Your commitment of service not only benefits your parish, it can be a powerful blessing to you, as well. Parishioners who become engaged in their faith community through volunteering often speak of the joy and satisfaction they receive, including deep spiritual blessings.
Many parishes in our Archdiocese are asking parishioners to renew their yearly commitment of sharing their talents by filling out and returning a Stewardship of Talent Commitment Card, which is provided by the parish. These Commitment Cards include a ‘check’ list of ministerial opportunities unique to your parish.
When your parish asks that you fill out a Stewardship of Talent Commitment Card, please prayerfully consider ways to share a portion of all the gifts God has given to you, including the gift of yourself in service to others.
