Christifideles Certification Program
Christifideles is a certification program for lay ecclesial ministers who
are seeking a graduate theological degree, co-sponsored by the Archdiocese
of Seattle, Seattle University, and the University of Portland.
Program components include:
- Acceptance into the Masters of Arts in Pastoral Studies (MAPS)
program at
Seattle University or the Master of Arts in Pastoral
Ministry (MAPM) program at
University of Portland.
- Participants may receive up to 40% towards 9-12 credits per year at
Seattle University or 50% at University of Portland (based on financial need)
- Full- or part-time participation is acceptable
- Participants may receive a graduate degree and Archdiocesan certification
- Participants will commit to a minimum of two years of service
(volunteer or paid) to a parish or Catholic organization in the Archdiocese
of Seattle
